You now have more control over whether your connected stores provide product weights and dimensions, including when new products are first imported into ShipHero.
⚙️ Set your preference per store
Go to
My Account → Stores
, open your store’s Settings
, and find the product weight setting.- Off:Stop incoming store measurements. Existing values are preserved. Enter or measure new products in ShipHero.
- On:Use store measurements as described below.
🔄 What changes for your Store connections?
- New connections:Off by default for Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon and Etsy. BigCommerce defaults to on.
- Existing Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce connections:Keep their saved setting. If it’s off, new products will no longer import store measurements.
- Existing Amazon, Etsy, and Magento connections:Enabled to preserve previous import behavior.
📦 What each store provides when enabled
- WooCommerce:Weight and dimensions for new products and later updates.
- Shopify and Magento:Weight only, for new products and later updates.
- BigCommerce:Weight and dimensions for new products. Later updates change weight only.
- Amazon:Weight and dimensions for new products only.
- Etsy:Weight for new products only.
Amazon and Etsy do not update existing product measurements, even when products are re-imported.
“New products means products being created in ShipHero, not existing products being re-imported or linked to another store.
Changing the setting does not automatically refresh existing products. If a SKU is connected to multiple stores, review each store’s setting.
